Guangna – 408 acrylic markers – box
Description
408 Guangna acrylic markers — 408 unique colours, not a single duplicate
This set of 408 Guangna acrylic markers is the brand's most complete. The number stated means 408 unique shades: no duplicated white or black to pad out the total. The spectrum covers bright primaries, pastels, greys and earth tones, skin tones and every transitional shade in between.
A brush tip built to last
The tip is made of quality synthetic fibre, flexible and pressure-sensitive: it draws from 1 mm to 5 mm depending on pressure and angle, responds like a watercolour brush on broad strokes, and — most importantly with heavy use — springs back to its original shape without fraying. That's what distinguishes a quality brush from a tip that turns soft and imprecise after a few weeks.
The 45° tilt system: less fatigue
Guangna has developed flow control that activates when you tilt rather than when you press. In practice, you tilt the marker and the ink comes on its own: no more pressing the tip against the paper to keep the flow going. Over a long session, that's the difference between a relaxed hand and a tense one. The direct-liquid system also prevents blots and flooding when you start again.
Opaque ink with a matte finish
Guangna acrylic ink is highly pigmented. It offers full coverage even on dark surfaces, deep colours without a washed-out look, and an even matte finish for a professional result. Layers build up without the colours underneath coming through. Drying takes a few minutes, after which the colour resists water, stains and light.
Which surfaces?
Canvas, paper and card, wood and MDF, stone and pebbles, decorative textiles, glass, ceramics, plastic, metal. On smooth, non-porous surfaces, a finishing varnish is recommended if the item is handled or washed regularly.
Safety: what the certifications mean
The set meets the ASTM D-4236 and EN-71 standards, the American and European benchmarks for the safety of creative supplies. The ink is water-based, odourless, non-toxic and cleans up with water. It's therefore suitable for long indoor sessions as well as school use, including with supervised children.
An expandable box that protects the collection
The markers come in a rigid box with individual compartments. It does three jobs: the whole palette stays visible at a glance, the tips are protected from drying out and knocks, and you can still take it to a studio or class. For a fixed workspace where you want everything in front of you, the 360 to 450-slot wooden organiser remains more comfortable day to day.
360, 366 or 408: where does this set fit?
The 360 case is the range's bestseller, the 366 carry case focuses on portability. The 408 is the top of the range: more shades, 20 spare nibs instead of 10, and a more refined box. With a palette this size, the Guangna colour chart is no longer a nice-to-have but a necessity — it saves you from searching by eye among 408 caps.
Tips for use
Shake before use, work on a completely dry surface for better coverage, recap immediately after each shade, clean the tip with a damp cloth if it gets clogged, and varnish smooth surfaces for lasting results.
